Intentional Interim Minister - Rev. Carol Steinbrecher

It is a great privilege to be serving here at LUCC as their Intentional Interim Pastor. I was fortunate to get one week with to meet folks and worship in person, before we shut-down for Covid. At the time, we thought we would be back together for Easter. It’s been a long year.

During this year, I have discovered the joy of worshipping outdoors on the beautiful back lawn of the church, recording inside the spacious and airy sanctuary, and a highlight was celebrating Christmas Eve on the front lawn where we lifted our candles high to illuminate the darkness.

I live in Wrentham, MA where I was a member of the Original Congregational Church for over 20 years. During my time there, I was a member of the choir, chaired many committees, and taught Sunday School. I started a handbell choir which I directed full-time for 10 years. I miss singing more than anything!

In my early career, I worked in the computer industry managing custom software engineering, project management, and customer support groups. My husband, is a Principle Software Engineer for Abbot. Our daughter is a Graphic Designer, working at WaterFire in Providence, RI. Our son is a Sophomore at Rochester Institute of Technology. For fun, I write, quilt, play Scrabble and Upwords against my computer, and I have been binging on all the seasons of Face Off, and Great British Baking, even though I have already seen every one!

I was a Theater Arts major at Douglass College – the Women’s college of Rutgers University in New Jersey, and I received my Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School. I also earned my certificate in Spiritual Direction taking a BC post-graduate course in Spiritual Formation.

I hope you will visit our recorded worship services and watch our Facebook page and Website for opportunities for future in-person worship!
